Show Older Posts/Articles in Following List

I've been going through the posts of those I'm following, but I noticed something. I get to the most recent posts and then that's it.
I think there is an opportunity to help older posts get seen here. If you think about Instagram, when you start following someone, their "algorithm" begins to show a "lot" of that individual's posts in the feed. You could harness something like that and give "new life" to old pieces (Especially those who have a longer backlog of articles).
There is a part of me that is wondering if there is a way to that in the background, the feed learns what types of articles someone likes, and then those get fed more often, especially in the following section?
Just thinking out loud here, but there's a lot I think can be done with this.

Great ideas! I really didn't think anyone would get that far down the page haha - so top optimize the loading times it only goes back so far on the following page. But will look at ways to improve this!

Sam Shore It might depend on how dedicated someone is to going through their feed and how many people they are following a once. I have a tendency to be... tenacious haha, for the first 48 hours of the release I was reading "everyone's" new posts, partially to figure out who I wanted to follow but also to help get things going.
When I have the page open though, I have a tendency to see most of the new posts and within 2 hours catch up at least for everyone I'm following. Some of those individuals have extensive libraries though, so unless I go intentionally into their profile I won't end up seeing those posts (which may be amazing). If the feed brought them to me, it would lower friction.
It might also give new life for a post that someone felt was great, but people just missed at whatever time for whatever reason (when they posted, craziness in life, etc.) You might consider those like "Hidden Gems" in a way.
