Feature Requests

Right now, carousels feature is not usable. (forced out 1, but that was the last time) We have to be able to add page breaks where we choose, not based on where the software "feels" they should be. Full text formatting, including "soft returns" (e.g. shift+enter) In its current form the feature isn't usable beyond a few slides, and certainly not to turn an essay into a carousel.

I'd appreciate if Typeshare has a Dark Mode option.

Would love to see a Substack integration (multiple requests for this)

I know that you've got the ability to post to LinkedIn, but it would be amazing if you could also post as an LinkedIn Article! I'm not sure if that is possible, but it would be amazing if possible!

There's a lot of thinly veiled self-promotion on Typeshare currently ("read this and join my Substack!" etc). I'm not sure how this benefits Typeshare in the long run, since such self-promotion is off-putting for readers in many niches, and newsletter-promotion ultimately takes eyes and money away from your platform. Adding monetisation features directly within Typeshare would help solve this: it would reduce the self-promotion and make the content written on Typeshare more original and authentic, attracting new readers and writers. Typeshare has a lot going for it—with the styles and colours, the short- and long-form posts, and Categories—and this variety in content arguably lends itself less to newsletters and more to a blogfeed-meets-Patreon model e.g. where writers grow paid subscribers under their different Categories. That would really make Typeshare stand out from the crowd

We would like to have the possibility to integrate with Substack.

This feature would function as a personal, curated library for users, allowing them to save and organise posts from other writers for future reference, inspiration, or learning. It’s similar to the bookmark functionality in X and the saved posts functionality in LinkedIn.
