Feature Requests

I’d like to request a simple feature: the ability to view past posts in chronological order. This would make it easier to track content over time and find specific posts quickly. Thanks.

We're seeing Twitter usage and engagement by our audience decrease substantially, and want to begin nurturing a presence on alternatives. In particular, Bluesky seems to be gaining in popularity in our user groups. We'd like to be able to post to Bluesky from Typeshare to more easily manage a presence on multiple platforms. (I note that Mastodon is already covered in another feature request, and I'll +1 that)

A connection to Threads to push content just like on X would be wonderful!

If someone wants to follow my writing in their feed reader they should be able to. I'm also a heavy user of RSS and would like to follow other writers in my reader.

Signal metrics are great. It would be more robust to integrate medium and LinkedIn as well as other publishing platforms.

There's a lot of thinly veiled self-promotion on Typeshare currently ("read this and join my Substack!" etc). I'm not sure how this benefits Typeshare in the long run, since such self-promotion is off-putting for readers in many niches, and newsletter-promotion ultimately takes eyes and money away from your platform. Adding monetisation features directly within Typeshare would help solve this: it would reduce the self-promotion and make the content written on Typeshare more original and authentic, attracting new readers and writers. Typeshare has a lot going for it—with the styles and colours, the short- and long-form posts, and Categories—and this variety in content arguably lends itself less to newsletters and more to a blogfeed-meets-Patreon model e.g. where writers grow paid subscribers under their different Categories. That would really make Typeshare stand out from the crowd

Having webhooks allows users to crosspost essays to Wordpress / ghost or other CMS via API.

I'd love to see an offline mode. Don't know if it's doable in a web browser (maybe a native MacOS/Windows app), but it seems odd that Typeshare has no offline mode. Why? Because Cole lived multiple years without wifi at home to focus more on writing AND Dickie always boasts about writing in business class when flying. So, maybe it's only me, but I'd love to see an offline mode in Typeshare, too.

Be able to build an email list by auto-plugging after a piece of content performs well.

Being able to have reader directly get emailed links to our latest posts would be amazing. Being able to keep the audience coming back without a Social Media Middleman could also help drive new readers to other Creators here.
