There's a lot of thinly veiled self-promotion on Typeshare currently ("read this and join my Substack!" etc). I'm not sure how this benefits Typeshare in the long run, since such self-promotion is off-putting for readers in many niches, and newsletter-promotion ultimately takes eyes and money away from your platform. Adding monetisation features directly within Typeshare would help solve this: it would reduce the self-promotion and make the content written on Typeshare more original and authentic, attracting new readers and writers. Typeshare has a lot going for it—with the styles and colours, the short- and long-form posts, and Categories—and this variety in content arguably lends itself less to newsletters and more to a blogfeed-meets-Patreon model e.g. where writers grow paid subscribers under their different Categories. That would really make Typeshare stand out from the crowd
